A white collar worker's life

The first day of work and, I was given a mountain load of documents. I was really wondering when I would finish it. Fortunately, "Boss" patiently explained to me the steps to process the documents and the workflow procedures. At first, I find it terribly difficult remember the huge amt of data that I had to deal wif. Made lots of mistake for the first batch of reports but fortunately, no scolding but only reminder.

The job itself isnt really tat tough. LOL wat can be more tough than carrying 900 cartons of canned drinks and 250 cartons of 1.5 litre bottle within a day. I survived that so I should be able to survive this.

Time flows insanely fast while I was working and as soon as I know it, I was getting used to the amt of workload I m receiving everyday and in fact, I m enjoying my job. Careless mistakes are significantly reducing in numbers and my speed is getting faster. Its only the 3rd day and I m quite pleased tat I had cleared most of my assigned tasks. XD.

Not only tat, I seemed to be getting along quite pleasantly with my colleagues as well. XD except for "Boss". I m still feeling a little awkward with her. Although she isn't tat frightening (in fact pleasant) but it really chills me when she was lecturing her kid over the phone. Hope I wouldn't get into that sort of wrath from her. ^ ^;

Employed at last

Hurray, finally got employed at last. Have been quite pissed and frustrated while doing job hunting. Been through a couple of interviews with restaurants for waiters as well as companies for admin positions. Kinda dejected when they say "We will contact you soon... -_-;"

Fortunately, I manage to clinch another admin job with quite a decent pay and work time. What more can I request for, with a nice lady boss, all ladies working environment. Seems like an anime story come true, where a college guy finds himself working in all girls environment LOL. Tomorrow's the first day of work. Looking forward to the next 3 months of learning and working XD.

First phase of plan has succeeded. If all turns out well, I should be able to save up enough money for my Japan trip XD.

Post Exam Tasks

Exams are finally over. HUrray~!~!. The month of torment is finally behind me.....in my dreams. T_T Loads of daily and social tasks are postponed due to the exam period and now its time to shift my attention over to them. Hopefully this will be a rewarding summer break since I had set lots of goals to be achieved during this period of time. Need to buck up my japanese over this period of time as well since I think I m lagging badly.

Speaking of which, I finally get to meet my new japanese sensei, Sawada Chiaki. She is gorgeous but too bad she is married. Had a short conversation with her b4 the lesson starts and I find her quite pleasant and friendly. Moving on with the lessons, I find listening and communicating with her is quite a challenge since she speaks fast as well as uses lots of profound words but its a very good practice to prep myself for the JLPT2's listening comprehension.

But I couldn't totally agreed with the way she delivers the content for the lesson. Perharps she is still new therefore I was hoping that she would improve along the way since her current method of delivery is kinda bland and understanding with only words is difficult. Although I had no problems keeping up for now, but it might become as problem as we proceed on with the curriculum and it kinda worries me because we are taking JLPT2 this year.

Last Lesson of the semester

This is a Saturday that I wish it would never come. It not only brings the University exams closer by another day, it is also a day where we had to bid farewell to our Japanese teacher Akiyama Youko sensei. We had lessons as normally but ended early to have the semester phototaking session with her. It has been a pleasure studying under her every since the start of elementary till now, the intermediate level. We had great fun interacting with one another using japanese language and sharing cultural information between Singapore and Japan.

I will certainly be missing her lessons alot. =(

Putting this issue aside, I managed to get my hands on the DVD drama of "Young Warriors of the Yang Family" at last. I m pretty happy with the quality of the video and it costs $30 when my brother got it. 43 episodes for $30. Both of us watched throughout the night yesterday, covering the first 5 episodes.

Except for a few minor dissatisfaction with some scenes, the drama scored a 7/10 for the first 5 episodes.
The costume designs scored 7/10 for the outstanding battle armor design and the imperial officers' dress design, except the question why on earth the battle armor had slight resemblance to samurai armors. In addition some of the normal clothes which some characters wore looked fargly (farking ugly).
The story itself scored a 8/10 for now since it had the power to lure me to continue watching on even though it is 3am at night. Fight scenes are ample throughout the first 5 episode with pretty decent chereography.
The actors and actresses scored a 7/10 since some of them doesn't have a face that suit specific characters.
Acting skills scored a 7/10 as well. The actors playing the villains done an outstanding job. Their acting is so good that you would strongly wish to kill those villains they had played as if you would to meet them on the street. But some of the main casts still have a long way to go.
Scenery settings scored an 8/10 as it complements the story very well. You have to watch it for yourself to feel it.

If you had $30 bucks and had nowhere to spend, I would strongly recommend this drama. Here are some cut scenes below.

Favourite lesson of the week

Once again, its Saturday, my favourite day of the week since I get to go for my Japanese lessons at Yano Language School. Had been studying there for 3 years and this is the 4th year, happily on my path to get my JLPT 2 certificate. Although it is a small school with 2 classrooms, the staffs of the school are extremely friendly and amicable especially my teacher Akiyama Youko sensei.

Sadly Youko Sensei is leaving us soon to return to Japan due to health reasons. I have not quite recovered from this news yet and its still a blg blow to me since I was her student ever since she joined the school and I m the only original student left from the first class now. Its really a big loss to Yano Language School to lose such a good teacher. I will certainly be missing her alot after she leaves. Hopefully Sawada Sensei who takes over her will be just as good as her.

Now all the more reason I should carry on with my Japan trip plan so that I can pay Youko Sensei a visit as well when I get to Japan to visit my BIYATCHES Shin and Akii.

And another good news for the day, I might be joining in to help out with the redesigning of Yano Language School's website.

Movie for today: 3 Kingdoms Resurrection of the Dragon

Finally, all labs and quizzes are cleared. Whats left is to start studying for the exams which is about 1 week away. Decided to take a break for today since I had been working so hard for the entire week. So I made some arrangements to catch the movie "Resurrection of the Dragon" starring Andy Lau as the famous general Zhao Yun (ZiLong) in the 3 kingdoms.

So here is my fifty cent worth for the film. Firstly, it sucks so dun waste your money watching it. The director, action director and the scriptwriter ought to wake up their ideas. I m pretty disappointed especially with the action director, Sammo Hung. He had produced so much great kungfu flicks back in the past and now, the standard is hardly meeting the level of those previous works. All fighting scenes includes shaky camera, lots of blood splashing about, heap of people in armor doing mass orgy. Could hardly understand what on earth is going on during the fights.

Next the scriptwriter. He seriously needs to re-study his history and get his damn facts right before writing a story out from history. Every aspect of the story is so out of place and so wrong. Things happen so abruptly and so fast that the audience could hardly bond with the characters as the story progresses and when it ends, its like "Oh, the movie is over"

OH well. Lets hope the next upcoming 3 kingdoms movie "Red Cliff"  doesn't turn out to be as bad as this. But from the looks of how China citizens react to foreign casts for the film really pisses me off and casts doubts over the film's potential. So I m gonna brace myself for another crap show.

(Seriously when a movie has a China studio co producing it, it is as good as dead. BTW Resurrection of the Dragon is co produced by Beijing Film Studios.)

1st Entry

Not a very good day to do blogging but then I m hell bored after mugging my reports till 1am and the stupid damn program just wouldn't wanna work. Debugging, studying, prep for exam arrrgghhh crap.

How I wish to have the time to touch my sketchpad and draw something  -_-  , go to the movies and catch a show or sit down and play some games. Apart from going to the movies, I had not been touching the other stuff ever since school term starts.
